Advice from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Of course, we cannot predict how Corona will develop in the coming months, but we follow closely what is happening in all our holiday destinations every day. In addition, we follow the advice of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It goes without saying that we, as a travel agency, do not let our clients spend their holidays in a country that is considered unsafe.

Concerns about safety must be relieved as much as possible for the customer! We stand for a carefree holiday where the focus is on pleasure.

Cancel free of charge

You have booked your holiday but changed your mind? You can cancel your holiday free of charge up to 3 months before the start of your holiday, up to 2 months before your holiday you can change your country, city and also all your travel contents such as accommodation & meals free of charge.

Change holiday

With CheckSailing you can change your holiday up to two months before arrival. Of course, there are a few ‘rules of the game’ involved:

• Rebooking is free of charge and possible without giving reasons;
• You can change your booking variably up to two months before the date of arrival;
• The rebooking guarantee applies to the entire booking;
• A rebooking is only possible on the basis of availability at the time of the rebooking;
• If the price of the rebooked holiday is lower than that of the original booking, the difference will not be refunded;
• If the price of the rebooked holiday is higher than that of the original booking, the additional cost will be charged;
• The duration and week of the stay must remain the same;
• Rebookings can be made by telephone or via office@checksailing.com.
• We will confirm the rebooking by e-mail.

What if, before my holiday, the county shows red

If unavoidable, extraordinary circumstances occur at the travel destination or in its immediate vicinity seven days before the start of the journey, which significantly impair the implementation of the journey to the travel destination, the customer is entitled to a full refund of all payments made for the journey, but not to compensation in excess of this.

In principle, our customers usually want to postpone their holiday, and this option is also available. Of course, a voucher can also be issued to be used at a later date.

PLEASE NOTE: Vouchers already issued from the 2020 season will of course retain their value and can be redeemed until 31 October 2021.

I don’t want to go on holiday anymore, what then!

If you wish to cancel your holiday, our terms and conditions apply, which you have accepted or will accept at the time of booking. It is best to take out travel cancellation insurance, we work together with our partner European Insurance, so you can relax before your holiday.

a. for cancellations from the 95th to the 65th day before the start of the holiday: 25 % of the holiday fee
b. for cancellations from 65 to 40 days before the start of the holiday: 60 % of the holiday fee
c. for cancellations within the last 40 days before the start of the holiday: 100 % of the holiday fee.

CheckSailing’s Fairplay Principle

Notwithstanding these percentages, we agree to charge the traveller only the actual cancellation costs incurred, provided these are less than the stated percentages (“FairPlay Principle”).
